It’s so easy to fall into the busyness trap—where everyone else’s needs seem more important than your own. The laundry, the appointments, the texts, the meals, the favors… they add up. Before you know it, your day has been spent doing everything for everyone—except you. You tell yourself it’s just a busy season, but somehow that season never ends.
Does this sound familiar?
Living in constant “go” mode leads straight to burnout. When you start feeling drained, maybe even resentful, and begin to wonder why no one sees how much you’re carrying, you’re standing in the doorway of burnout. Your body is tense, your sleep is fitful, your mind races, and your spirit starts to dim. That’s the price of pouring from an empty cup—over and over again.
So let me ask you this: Are you ready to take some time for you?
Slowing down—even for just ten minutes—can change everything. A few deep breaths, a moment of stillness, a walk in nature, and, if you use essential oils, the comforting aroma of grounding oils like Frankincense, Lavender, Peace & Calming ®, or Stress Away™️ can calm your central nervous system, soften your heart, and clear your mind. This isn’t luxury—it’s healing. It leads to a lighter, brighter, healthier you and YOU DESERVE IT!!
You don’t need to earn rest. You just need to allow it.
Here’s a 10-minute self-care protocol that’s easy to do wherever you are:
Step 1. Set the Space (1 minute)
Find a quiet spot and simply turn off all distractions. This is your space—no guilt allowed! Remember, you DESERVE this space!
Step 2. Choose Your Oil (1 minute)
Pick a calming essential oil—try Lavender, Frankincense, Stress Away™️, or Peace & Calming®. Apply a couple drops to your wrists, temples, or over your heart. Let your body, mind and soul absorb every one of those calming molecules.
Step 3. Breathe with Intention (2 minutes)
Close your eyes. Inhale deeply for 4 counts, hold for 4, exhale for 6. Repeat slowly, letting your shoulders drop and your jaw unclench.
Step 4. Reflect or Be Still (3-5 minutes)
Sit quietly. Listen to your breath, journal a few thoughts, speak a simple affirmation like: “I am worthy of rest. I am safe. I am loved.” Let the oils and the silence ease your tense body, calm the chatter in your brain, and uplift your weary spirit.
Step 5. Close with Gratitude (1 minute)
Take one more deep breath. Whisper “thank you” to your Creator, yourself, your body, and for this moment of peace. Carry that calm with you as you go.
It IS possible to feel whole again with this 10-minute protocol. Remember, taking time for you is something you deserve and something that can bring you back to center. If this resonates with you and you’d like some help moving away from chaos to calm, let’s chat.
